Many thanks to Jeremy Clark who wrote this foundation page up - we will be adding more in the near future! History Maple Valley, located 6 miles northwest of Brattleboro on Route 30, was started by Terry Tyler in 1963. Tyler designed and opened Maple Valley after opening two smaller ski areas in Dummerston - Little Prospect and Big Prospect . The first year of operation was served by the North Double Chair and a T-Bar.
