Anybody remember this one? 1939 (Skier's Guide to New England) Open Slope Route 286 1/2 mile south of town 0.12 miles long, 150 feet wide 15 degree slope SW exposure, Novice level New 400 foot tow Toboggan Chute 1939 (Ski Trails in the East and How to Find Them) Fair Haven now has 2 ski trails from 3/4 mile to 1 mile long, and a 400 foot ski tow to the top of the good practice slopes, which may be reached by automobile or bus. Skiers coming to Fair Haven will proceed 1/2 mile south on VT 286 to the Maplewood Winter Sports Area, the starting point for all trails.
